We offer our students a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom. From dance groups, choirs, and bands to debating, public speaking and art clubs, we have something for every creative mind! These opportunities empowers students to discover new passions and strengthen their skills in the creative domain.
A strong start
Our school welcomes all students from all backgrounds. We help every child feel safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day. Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them. We even have beautiful outdoor learning spaces including our vegetable garden and a Yarning Circle.
From the classroom to the sporting fields
Westmead PS recognises our community's love of sports and the importance of physical activity for children. We nurture children's development of physical skills through explicit teaching in our curriculum and through the provision of multiple opportunities for students to showcase their skills in sporting carnivals, gala days and competitions.
