Education Week is a statewide event held to celebrate NSW public education. The week communicates the achievements of public schools, their students and the value of public education. The theme for 2018 Education Week is: Today's schools – creating tomorrow's world.
It celebrates how NSW public schools are equipping young people with the skills and capabilities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing, globalised world.
This year, Westmead Public School will be celebrating Education and Book Week together on Wednesday 22 August 2018.
Timetable of events is as follows:
9:10am - 9:50am 3-6 Concert
10:10am - 10:50am K-2 Concert
11:30am - 12:50pm Walk-a-thon
1:00pm - 2:00pm Family Book Picnic
2:00pm - 2:25pm Open Classrooms K-2
2:25 - 2:55pm Open Classrooms 3-6
There will be prizes for participation in the Walk-a-thon and for the most money raised. Please refer to newsletters, this website and notes sent home for further details
