Westmead Public School will celebrate Harmony Day on Monday 22nd March

22 March 2021

Harmony Day is celebrated in March each year. It gives people the opportunity to share and celebrate the diverse culture we all live in. It's also about community participation, inclusiveness and respect – celebrating the different cultures that make Australia a great place to live. The theme for Harmony Day is ‘Everyone Belongs’.

Students are invited to wear cultural dress or the colour ORANGE on Harmony Day.

Harmony Wings – Everyone Belongs

Leading up to the event, students will have the opportunity to learn more about harmony and the importance of Harmony Day.

As a class, students will represent what HARMONY means to them and create collaborative artwork, Harmony Wings exhibiting the idea that ‘Together We'll Soar’. The artwork will be displayed in the school for everyone to see
