Ballad of the Western Meadows
When the Dharug People lived where Westmead is,
The young learnt the ways of the land.
As fires burnt, voices filled the night,
Passing wisdom of the Tribe.
In the meadows west of Government House,
The settlers learnt how to farm.
And the convicts toiled in the heat and drought,
For the dream of New South Wales.
From the lands around the world we've come,
To call Westmead our home.
We'll remember learning and friends we've made,
At Westmead Public School.
