The study of mathematics is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
By studying mathematics, students learn to work mathematically – developing fluency, understanding, problem-solving, reasoning and communication skills.
The syllabus consists of the following strands:
Mathematics can be fun to learn. A maths dictionary for kids is an interactive, online maths dictionary for students which explains difficult math terminologies in simple language.
Another online learning space is Mathletics. Powerful courses aligned to Australian Curriculum maths standards across the primary and secondary years, matched with dynamic tools and reporting for teachers.
Maths A to Z is a helpful site that provides assistance to parents.
