Student representative council has their own SRC aims (pdf, 21KB) and SRC oath (pdf, 49KB).
The SRC meets each week on a Monday during lunch (second half). To keep it fair the SRC has divided the members, one from each class into teams: Team A and Team B. Each team alternates weekly: week 1 - Team A, week 2 - Team B, and so on.
Each class from Years 3 - 6 (Semester 1) chooses 2 students, a boy and a girl, to represent their class each week at the meeting. However, in Semester 2, the SRC also has members from the Year 2 classes.
Just like a normal council, the SRC has a secretary - somebody who keeps track of all the e-mails and responds to them. He/she also marks the roll at the meeting.
We also have a treasurer who keeps an eye on the finances.
In past years, we have helped so many charities raise money for the sick and helpless. Some of these charities are UNICEF, Stewart House, Australian Red Cross, Guide Dogs and the Children's Hospital at Westmead. We have also made our school beautiful by planting trees into our gardens which we do annually.
Student leadership
All students are encouraged to be leaders within our school.
We encourage our students to be leaders in the classroom and playground, through their support for other students, or their involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or community events and projects.
In addition to School Captains (Year 6 students) there are two representatives per class Years 3 to 6 (Semester 1) and Years 2 to 6 (Semester 2) elected to attend the Student Representative Council (SRC).
There are also house captains from Years 3-6 who have an important leadership role in sport.
